The Emfit Movement Monitor is the latest technology for monitoring an individual during sleep who may experience certain types of movements which a caregiver or family member should be alerted of. New, patented sensor technology detects all of a person's movements, including micro-movements caused by breathing and the heart beating. Embedded software detects when movement’s frequency is higher than 3 Hz (default setting) or 2 Hz (changeable by a switch inside), triggering a time count. If the movement continues over the preset time - which is changeable between 10, 13, 16 and 20 seconds - the device will give notification with both sound and a dry-contact output. Also, if there are no movements or micro-movements for 5 seconds or 10 seconds (adjustable), the system will give notification. This feature can be enabled or disabled by an internal switch in the control unit. Sound volume level is also adjustable and can be disabled if necessary. When using the dry-contact output, which is available as both a normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) type, the monitor can be connected to most nurse call systems and personal emergency phones. The Movement Monitor is operated with 2 pcs AA size 1,5 V batteries. An optional, medical grade AC adapter is also available.
